Everything you need to know:

Bilingual materials: Kits currently available in English plus Spanish, French, Italian, Ukrainian or Russian. Content is identical in both languages. In other words, the kit contains an English version and another language version - e.g. Spanish+English or Ukrainian+English). English can also be bought separately.

Adapt the language: Kits are suitable for children at all levels. The materials are adaptable and flexible, relying on imagination and engagement to match them to the child’s age, abilities and interests. Neutral language is used as a common base that can be widely understood. Yet your own specific language may look and sound different. National or local vocabulary may not be the same. Perhaps some things confuse you or even make you laugh! Adapt the language to your family, and use the opportunity to talk about the differences in language and culture.

Curiosity and tolerance. Your own beliefs, approach and traditions may differ. Adapt the kit to your own circumstances and use what feels comfortable and appropriate to your family. Cultural tolerance and curiosity are key to exploring these materials with your children.

Follow the child: Encourage, invite and stimulate children’s curiosity and learning. Mother Tongue materials don’t come with detailed instructions. Let children explore and play, slowly, without time limits. Trust your intuition and theirs. Follow their lead.

Practicalities: Digital / print at home. Receive your digital download upon purchase. Your PDF will be available in the Thank You page after purchase and will also be emailed to you. Every file is prepared to be printed on A4 paper can be printed as many times as you like. It can also be viewed online (e.g. on your child's tablet). Digital downloads are to be printed at home for your personal use only and are not to be shared, resold or used for other commercial purposes.
